Configuring your Existing Email Account on your iPhone

To use SSL on an iPhone login to the control panel (Advanced Configuration tab) and make sure SSL is Enabled on your account first. Then follow the instructions for setting up your account.


Setup Instructions for POP/IMAP Accounts in iOS

1. Click: Settings on the iPhone home screen
2. Click: Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
3. Click: Add Account
4. Click: Other
5. Click: Add Account
5. Enter your POP/IMAP email account settings
    Name:
    Address: Full Email Address
    Password: Email Account’s password
    Description: Nickname for your own identification
6. Click: Next.  Choose IMAP or POP3
   Incoming Mail Server
    Host Name: We are glad to confirm your hostname for you.
    User name: Full email address
    Password: Email account’s password
   Outgoing Mail Server
    Host Name: We are glad to confirm your hostname for you.
    User name: Full email address
    Password: Email Account’s password
7. iPhone will attempt to verify server settings. If verification fails, click Continue and proceed to updating advanced server settings.

After successfully (or unsuccessfully) adding an email account to the device’s list of accounts, you can edit the Incoming/Outgoing server ports:

1. From the iPhone/iPad home screen, Click: Settings
2. Click: Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
3. Choose the Email Account you want to edit
4. Click: SMTP under Outgoing Server
5. CLick: your Outgoing Server under Primary Server
6. You can edit the server port by clicking the number next to Server Port.
    You can also change authentication methods and toggle SSL on/off. SMTP Authentication should be ON using the Authentication Method: Password.

Incoming Server Settings can be edited by following this path:
1. From the iPhone/iPad home screen, click Settings.
2. Click: Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
3. Choose the Email Account you want to edit
4. Click: Advanced
5. You can Edit the Incoming Server Port Number by clicking on the number next to Server Port. You can also edit Incoming Server Authentication methods, toggle SSL on/off, and set message deletion settings.


Your ports should be as follows:

INCOMING SSL MAIL SERVERS:
  Secure POP3 is port 995.
  Secure IMAP is port 993.

OUTGOING (SMTP) SSL MAIL SERVER:
  The secure port for SMTP is 587.

If you are NOT using SSL mail settings be sure to Disable the SSL in the control panel (Advanced Configuration tab).

With SSL disabled your server ports and server names will be different. Inmost cases your incoming/outgoing server name will be in the format of mail.yourdomain.com. We can confirm your mail server name for you if you have any special DNS configuration. 

INCOMING non-SSL MAIL SERVERS:
  Non-ssl POP3 is port 110.
  Non-ssl IMAP is port 143.

OUTGOING (SMTP) non-SSL MAIL SERVER:
  The non-SSL port for SMTP is 26 or 25.
