About Email: / top

There are 2 basic steps to setting up email accounts:

1. Create the desired email address in your cPanel account
2. Change settings or create the account in your email application

Watch a demo:

- Creating an email account in Outlook Express
- Creating a new email account in cPanel

Your email settings are:

(POP3/ Inbound) mail.yourdomain.com
(SMTP/ Outbound) mail.yourdomain.com

Your hosting account also has a web mail feature which allows you to access email directly on the server. This is useful when traveling, etc. and can be accessed from any PC that has an active Internet connection.

Access via web mail: http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
Login: your full email address and password.

Using cPanel / WHM: / top

You can manage files, email accounts, view web stats and much more via your account cPanel. To login:

http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
Login: Your username and password (supplied in your welcome email)

If you have purchased a Reseller Account, you have a WHM or Web Host Manager Control Panel which can be accessed as follows:

http://www.yourdomain.com/whm
Login: Your username and password (supplied in your welcome email)

To view demos about how to use both cPanel and WHM features, please visit our demos page

Uploading Your Site: / top

Uploading your web site is best done using an FTP application, although you may also use tools like FrontPage, DreamWeaver, etc. To use FrontPage you will need to have FrontPage Server Extensions enabled for your account. You can install these Extensions via your account cPanel - this demo shows how.

If you have any questions about this, please contact us.

FTP Settings:

Host: ftp.yourdomain.com
Login: your username and password

All files go into the public_html directory. If they are in any other directories, they may not be seen in a web browser. Also, make sure that you delete the existing index.html file and replace it with your own index.html file.
